Dhanush’s Ban Lifted by Tamil Film Producer’s Council After Assurances
Several filmmakers recently approached the Tamil Film Producer’s Council regarding pending projects with actor-filmmaker Dhanush, prompting the council to initially take action by banning him from signing new projects. However, following recent developments, it appears that the ban has been lifted for one project after Dhanush promised to clear up all complaints against him.
Dhanush’s Promise to Clear Dues
Earlier this week, reports suggested that Dhanush had signed a new project with Arun Vijay, sparking concerns among producers. In response, Dhanush met with the Tamil Film Producer’s Council, assuring members that he would settle all his dues. The actor even committed to returning the remuneration for films that had failed to take off, such as Polladhavan.
According to a report by News18, Dhanush has assured the council that he will fulfill his professional commitments, including an upcoming project with the Mersal makers. Despite his promises, the council has only lifted the ban for one film at this stage.
Dhanush’s Current and Upcoming Projects
Dhanush, who was last seen in Raayan, a film that earned him rave reviews, is now preparing for the release of Kubera, which also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Nagarjuna in pivotal roles. In addition to this, he is wrapping up the much-anticipated romantic comedy Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam (Why is the Moon Angry with Me?), a film he directed and produced under his banner Wunderbar Films. The movie stars Pavesh, Priya Prakash Varrier, and Anika Surendran.
Future as a Director
With the partial lifting of the ban, Dhanush is expected to direct a new film starring Arun Vijay, with rumors suggesting that he may also take on a key role in the film.
