Starring Farhan Akhtar, the film will portray the extraordinary tale of Major Shaitan Singh and his valiant soldiers from the 13 Kumaon Regiment, focusing on the historic Battle of Rezang La during the 1962 Sino-Indian War.

The production houses have recently unveiled two captivating motion posters that highlight the film’s title and showcase Farhan Akhtar in the role of Major Shaitan Singh. Major Shaitan Singh: A Brief History
For those unfamiliar, Major Shaitan Singh was an Indian Army officer awarded the Param Vir Chakra, India’s highest military decoration, for his exceptional bravery during the Sino-Indian War. Born on December 1, 1924, in Rajasthan, Singh joined the Jodhpur State Forces and later the Kumaon Regiment. He played a pivotal role in the operations in the Naga Hills, the 1961 annexation of Goa, and the Battle of Rezang La.

During the war, Singh commanded a company stationed at Rezang La, a strategic pass in Ladakh. On November 18, 1962, despite overwhelming Chinese forces and severe injuries, Singh and his men fought heroically, repelling numerous attacks and inflicting significant casualties on the enemy. Singh’s leadership and bravery inspired his men, and his actions became a symbol of Indian courage. Posthumously, he was awarded the Param Vir Chakra for his extraordinary valor.
