Vijay is riding high on the success of his latest film, Greatest Of All Time (GOAT), which hit theaters on September 5. The action-packed entertainer collected a whopping ₹43 crore on its opening day, and according to Sacnilk, it earned around ₹24.75 crore India net on Day 2 across all languages.
Directed by Venkat Prabhu, GOAT boasts a stellar cast, including Meenakshi Chaudhary, Ajmal Ameer, Prabhu Deva, Jayaram, and Prashanth. The film revolves around a retired secret agent, portrayed by Vijay in a dual role, who returns to action for one final mission. In his review for NDTV, film critic Saibal Chatterjee awarded GOAT 2.5 stars out of 5. He praised Vijay’s portrayal of two distinct characters: “Vijay, fleshing out two distinct characters, one greying and steely, the other callow and obdurate, and both carrying scars from past events, makes up for whatever the film lacks in terms of logic and flow.”
